Plant Operations Director
Operations Directors are often unsung heroes at senior living communities, and our hero is Joel Luna. Born and raised in Panama, Central America, Joel relocated to Jackson, MS, when he was 13 years old. Nine years ago, he moved to Florida, and more than five years ago, he began his career in the senior living industry.
In 2013, Joel started as a Refurbishment Coordinator at Abbey Delray South, where he oversaw renovations on new apartments and garden homes. After three years of service, he accepted a role as Maintenance Supervisor at Harbour’s Edge in Delray Beach. His most recent position, in which he served from March 2018 to April 2019, was as Director of Housekeeping at Discovery Village. Now, as Plant Operations Director at The Club at Boynton Beach, Joel does more than manage our business operations; he puts smiles on residents’ faces each and every day.
Not only is Joel bilingual—fluent in both English and Spanish—he has a positive attitude and spirit of teamwork that’s irresistible. His attention to residents’ emotional and mental well-being makes him a perfect fit for our team. When he isn’t hard at work at The Club, Joel likes to golf and work on cars. He also likes spending time with his family, of course, especially his wife Ashley and their dog Tyson.
Director of Sales
Stephanie Bilodeau spent most of her life in New England raising her two children. After moving to Florida in 2013 to escape the harsh New England winters, she began her career in the senior living industry. By helping area seniors move from their homes to different senior living communities, Stephanie gained expertise in downsizing, organizing and designing new spaces for this important, and sometimes difficult, transition in life.
Recognizing her passion for navigating the entire process with seniors, she went on to find her niche in sales and marketing. She brings a wealth of knowledge in downsizing and moving coordination to her position as Sales Director at The Club, as well as a genuine understanding of how it feels for those making the move. Knowing that many residents in Florida do not have adult children or other family members nearby, Stephanie especially enjoys building close relationships and being there for residents to lean on every step of the way.
The Club is delighted to share Stephanie’s warm smile, empathetic nature and attentive personality with our residents and their families. In turn, Stephanie is happy to have landed at The Club: “It definitely feels like family here.”
Fabiola “Fabi” Valcin’s smile is infectious at The Club. She moved from Haiti at the age of seven and has lived in the Boynton and West Palm area ever since. Beginning her career in senior living when she was 16 years old, Fabi has worked in almost every capacity — starting off as a server in dining services. Since then filling roles in activities, as a CNA and now in sales, she has proven she can do it all.
Fabi personally experienced the process of finding senior care for her grandfather, which ignited a spark in her to learn as much as she could about senor living and to help other families going through the same situation.
With the long-term goal of launching her own senior living community someday, Fabi is currently raising her two young children while attending nursing school. Her work as Marketing Assistant at the Club is rewarding for both Fabi and our residents — she feels truly gratified knowing she is playing a role in their quality of life and putting a smile on their faces.
